Bicoll GmbH – Deutsch-Chinesische Kooperation

München – Mit 100.000 EUR wird das Bayerische Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst die Bicoll GmbH im Rahmen des FLÜGGE-Programms fördern. Die deutsch-chinesische Biotechnologie-Firmengruppe verbindet kombinatorische, synthetische sowie Naturstoff-Chemie,
Strukturaufklärung, Mikrobiologie sowie Screenings, um Wirkstoffe für neuentdeckte Zielmoleküle zu entwickeln. Durch den Zugang zu einer der größten Pflanzensammlungen Asiens kombiniert mit den firmeneigenen Prozessen BIFRAC N (Isolierung, Trennung und Reinigung) und BIPRESELECT (Auswahl von für den weiteren Entwicklungsprozeß geeigneter Substanzen) will Bicoll den Aufbau einer Bibliothek mit neuen, hochaktiven Subtanzen voranbringen.

Kai Lamottke has been appointed general manager of Bicoll Biotechnology Co. Ltd., Shanghai

Kai Lamottke has been appointed general manager of Bicoll Biotechnology Co. Ltd., Shanghai. He has more than six years of experience in synthetic organic research. He received an M.S. in chemistry jointly
from the University of Münster, in Germany, where he did his theoretical work, and the University of
California, Berkeley, where he did his practical work. He also earned a doctoral degree in organic chemistry from the University of Munich, in Germany. Before coming to Bicoll, Lamottke worked at 4SC AG, a rational drug discovery company. He currently holds a research position at the Technical University of Munich.
