Symposium on Modern Applications of Biotechnology

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Technische Universität Dresden were organizing the German-Chinese symposium “Modern Applications of Biotechnology 2012”.
Germany and the PR China attach great importance to scientific-technological cooperation. In the field of biotechnology more than 15 bilateral research projects have been successfully completed in the past 10 years.

On behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) launched a scholarship program in 1999 to support young scientists and reaserchers aiming to do research in China.
Dr. Christian Haug, Managing Director of Bicoll was the first German postdoctoral fellow to work in China. He was invited to talk about his experiences on “Founding, Launching and Development of a German-Chinese Biotech joint-venture” on September-20, 2012 in Dresden.
