Life Science Experts got exclusive insights into the first Sino-German Biotechnology set-up in Shanghai/ P.R. China.
The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and its Chinese Counterpart (Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China (MoST) have organized a delegation’s official visit for life science experts to China from August 26th to August 31st. Dr. Kai LAMOTTKE, Managing Director of BICOLL attended the delegation’s visit to Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai. This visit results on the last consultations of German Chancellor Angela MERKEL and President WEN Jiabao on June 27th and 28th 2011. During these first German-Chinese intergovernmental consultations, fourteen formal agreements were signed. The governments hope that these agreements will foster closer collaboration in four fields; one of them is bioscience. During the recent meeting of Chancellor MERKEL and President WEN in Beijing this expression of interest has been affirmed (press release number 287 of the German Federal Government at the 30th of August 2012).
