Bicoll brings in its medicinal chemistry competence as an active participant of EpimiRNA project. A first novel lead structure preventing seizures in a human tissue model could be provided through the consortium efforts. Furthermore, there are a number of results achieved already such as identification of new microRNAs, that control brain excitability etc. There are new commercial opportunities created: spin-out, medical device and drug development program to create drugs of the future are currently exploited.
